About
Formerly a big-firm lawyer, I spent most of my adult life in courtrooms and conference rooms. I gave at the office—though I certainly benefitted from it too. But a vocation is just that: a calling. And when it’s time to move on, you do it. To hold on past that moment is to squander the gift of life.
So, I quit. Abruptly. I left that life behind and set out to create a new one—one I intend to live with the same passion and purpose that fueled my legal career.
Why travel, though? Why make this the centerpiece of my next act?
There are plenty of science-backed reasons. Travel reduces stress, sparks creativity, strengthens the immune system, promotes physical fitness, and may even extend your lifespan. But for me, it’s simpler and deeper than that. Travel satisfies a primal urge: to see and hear the world firsthand, to experience its people, flavors, and landscapes through the unfiltered lens of my own senses.
And yes—the food, the lodging, and the scenery usually aren’t bad either.
So, if you’re willing, I invite you to join me on this journey. This blog is where I’ll share my honest impressions of what I see, hear, smell, and taste along the way—with photographs, reflections, and stories from a life finally lived out loud.
Sincerely, YouDontKnowJackTravels.
